ITE Signed Memorandum of Understanding with Football Association of Singapore (FAS)

It has been an ongoing discussion between FAS and ITE on how both organisations could tap on each other’s strengths to forge closer and stronger ties, following a very successful collaboration between ITE College Central and S. League Club Balestier Khalsa FC.

11 November 2012 marked a significant day when the common interests between the two organisations translated into a much awaited move. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between ITE and the Football Association of Singapore (FAS), in conjunction with the 17th S. League Awards Night.

The momentous occasion was graced by Mr Tan Seng Hua, Deputy CEO (Academic) of ITE, and Dr Ang Kiam Wee, Principal of ITE College Central, together with Associate Professor Ho Peng Kee, Advisor of FAS, and Mr Lim Chin, CEO of S. League.

Welcoming the partnership, Mr Tan Seng Hua, Deputy CEO (Academic), quoted, “Just as education in the classroom is important, learning out of the classroom is invaluable in providing students with a holistic education that develops character and nurtures talents and interests. Football has always been a popular sport among ITE students. A win-win partnership with S.League will provide opportunities for our students to develop their passion in sports, generate interest in healthy lifestyle, improve their physical fitness and raise the standards of football in Singapore”.
