Someone once said that the love of a family is life’s greatest blessing. On 25 May 2011, 6 Student Ambassadors from ITE College East, together with students from various secondary schools, participated in the largest national family focused forum ever in Singapore. 

Previously driven by the Ministry of Communication, Youth and Sports (MCYS), the annual National Family Celebrations which sought to promote, strengthen and celebrate families is now organised by the National Family Council (NFC).
 
The forum, aimed at reaching out to both youths and parents with the objective of hearing their views about family, saw a participation rate of over 4000 youths and their parents.

Celebrity speakers, Daniel Ong and wife, Jamie Teo, were also present to share stories about their own experiences. The event was hosted by the humorous duo, the Muttons from 98.7FM. ‘Maximum enthusiasm’ was the word to describe our students during the forum! 

They were simply eager to voice out their thoughts about topics that were so close to their hearts. It was no doubt a worthy session for our students and their parents.
