ITE Strongman & Triathlon Challenge 2011, 11 November
CE triathlon champion for Men's category is Dereck Lee (UP1004P), Higher Nitec in Sport Management, who also came in first in the POL-ITE Biathlon on 2 Nov 11. The winner for the Women's category is Ng Jin Ting (UP 1104A), Higher Nitec in Sports Management. The winner for the Men's open in Strongman Challenge is Idaman (NZ 1104A). The Men's team winners are Ang Ding Fu (UQ1104E), Dexter Lim (JF 1001Q) and the Women's team winners are Masita Bte Azam, Noraziela Bte Md Suhadi and Siti Nurain Bte Azam (JB 1004S). ITESC Track & Field Championships 2011, 09 November
ITE College East captured the Overall Champions for both Men’s and Women’s categories, as well as the keenly contested Women’s Individual Champion when our Sport Management student, Shahirah Md. Rizal, and Nur Hamizah Hamid from Office Skills were crowned Joint Individual Champions. The Men’s Individual Champion went to Muhd Zuhair from Chemical Technology, who won Gold in the 100m, 200m and 400m race. Dereck Lee from Sport Management in the 10,000m wrote a new record when he completed the 25-lap run in 42min 36.2seconds!

Asia Youth Sports Climbing Championship, 30 July
Janice Ng, a student from Nitec in Electronics (Computer & Networking) beat competitors from 13 countries which included China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia and Thailand, to win the Youth Junior Speed Climbing Event at the Finals of the Asia Youth Sports Climbing Championship held at Yishun SAFRA on 30 July 2011.

Firdaus Tohari, our Nitec in Chemical Process Technology student, was offered a month-long trial with Hungarian first division side Kaposvari Rakoczi FC. He plays for ITE College East School Team and is currently a defensive midfielder with National Football League Division Three outfit Gambas Avenue. He had completed a 3-week training stint with Serie B club Vicenza Calcio and Genova International Soccer School in April 2011.

20th ITESC Sports Fiesta 2011, 18 - 19 May
At the 20th ITESC Sports Fiesta 2011 was held on 18 to 19 May 2011 at ITE College West Sports Hall. Teams from all 3 Colleges competed during the 2-day event.ITE CE Team came in Runner-up for Netball Tournament. For the Volleyball Tournament, ITE CE Boy’s Team emerged as Champions while the Girls Team came in third place. Click here to read more.

2nd Singapore National Cheerleading Championships, 20 March
ITE Cheerleading Team Genesis has clinched the Champion title for the Freestyle Cheerleading category under the Open division at the 2nd Singapore National Cheerleading Championships held on 20 Mar 2011 at Jurong East Sports Hall. POLITE TaeKwon DO, 23 and 24 January
Nagiim Yii Ting from College East was named the Most Valuable Player Award (ITE Team Captain) for the POLITE TaeKwon DO held on 23 and 24 Jan 2011. In this tournament, Team ITE won 6 Golds, 4 Silvers, 10 Bronzes and achieved Third Place in the overall placing. Click here to read more. |
