The Shell LiveWIRE programme, operating in over 20 countries throughout the world, marked its 10 year milestone on 30 November 2010 with the launch of LiveSPARK at ITE College East. This award, designed to complement the existing biennial Shell LiveWIRE Award, aims to recognise students and youths who have demonstrated keen interest and great passion in entrepreneurship. 

 
Mr Lee Yi Shyan, Minister of State for the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Manpower was there to officiate the event which celebrated the continued partnership of Institute of Technical Education (ITE), in collaboration with Shell Companies in Singapore, ITE Alumni Association (ITE AA) and the Chinese Newspapers Division of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH CND). The Minister also officiated the opening of Enterprise.Connect@CE, which is a one-stop Centre for budding entrepreneurs.
 
The event, which drew a crowd of 350 guests from industries and Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs), also witnessed the unveiling of a Commemorative Mural, which signified the collaboration of unique individuals/entities who made a mark or contribution to the programme. Apart from viewing Shell LiveWIRE exhibits, guests who attended the event also had opportunities to visit the newly established Enterprise.Connect@CE.
