The Library@CE and College East's School of Engineering, jointly organized an exhibition displaying 39 Electrical Engineering (EE) students' final year projects from 2 Sep to 6 Sep 2010.
The exhibition kicked off with the assessment of 17 projects by senior teaching staff on 2 Sep 2010. The event was organised to provide EE students with an authentic learning experience as they prepared for the exhibition and carried out many real life and relevant tasks such as planning, presentation and interaction with fellow students on the projects.
Students of Library Club and Engineering Club also benefited in gaining authentic learning experience as they took the roles of exhibitors or organizers as well as other duties in making the exhibition a success.
Certificates of participation were awarded to all project participants and tokens of recognitions were given to two teams whose members were assessed as the best presenters of their projects. Students who won the best presenters token were Joshua Tan Jen Jie, Seow Wei Qiang, Ho Swee Leong, Yiap Chea Hwee, Chen Yu Fu, Sim Wei Xiang, Chua Wei Wei, Nuur Iznan B Aman, Siti Nurdianah Bte Isea, Muhammad Ridwan B Adbul Malek and Karthik s/o K Chandran.
Mr Eden Liew, Principal of College East, Mr Eden Liew, was present to view the projects and lent his support to the exhibition which sought to provide experiential learning beyond the classroom learning environment.
The event had added vibrancy in the library with many students and others who came to view the project displays during the exhibition period. The library plans to have more collaboration projects with the schools to promote more of such activity in the library to support the development of collaborative and social skills of our students.
