Bursaries & Financial Assistance Schemes

ITE offers financial assistance to students who have difficulty paying their school fees and/or require financial support for other reasons. This is to ensure that all students, regardless of their financial background, are given the opportunity to continue their studies. Needy students are able to apply for assistance through the following schemes (click here for more details):

  • CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary Award
  • Special Student Assistance Scheme
 Other schemes available are:

Edusave Pupil Fund
Students may use this money contributed by the Government in their Edusave Pupil Fund accounts to pay for college-based enrichment activities and programmes when they are required to co-pay. The Edusave Pupil Fund cannot be used to pay for standard tuition fees. The minimum transaction allowed per payment is $10. Application forms for withdrawal of Edusave Funds by parents can be obtained from the web-based Student Administration System at http://www.ite.edu.sg. Students may also check the balance available for their Edusave Fund by calling the Edusave Hotline at 6260 0777.

Special Student Assistance Scheme (SSAS)
This scheme is aimed at providing financial assistance to help needy full-time students who require financial support for one reason or another. The financial assistance could comprise cash award (if total gross monthly household income is below $1,500) and/or remission of course fees (if per capita income does not exceed $700).

Needy students should first apply for the CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary, if they are eligible. The SSAS will be opened for applications after the close of application for the CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary. SSAS application forms are available at the Customer & Visitor Centre (CVC). If the application for SSAS is successful for cash award, this will be credited to the student's bank account via GIRO. As such, students must apply for GIRO arrangement with ITE. GIRO application forms are available at CVC.

Opportunity Fund (OF)
The OF is a scheme to subsidise students to participate in various enrichment programmes, study trips and to own personal computers.

Full-time students from low income families may apply for subsidy from the OF if they are eligible. The approval of subsidy and amount to be given (subject to a cap) will be based on assessment of the hardship circumstances and other forms of financial assistance already granted to the student.

Subsidy is given one-off for a student during his/her studies in ITE. Successful applicants are not eligible to apply for another subsidy from the OF.

Application must be made on a prescribed Application Form obtainable from CVC.

The Application Form must be accompanied by supporting income documents, e.g. latest pay slip, letter from employer on gross monthly income or family income declaration form. Students may submit the Application Form and supporting income documents through the Student Services drop box located at the CVC.

For subsidy to purchase personal computers (PCs), eligible students may purchase used PCs from ITE or purchase new PCs from an agent approved by the College, such as iDA. Please check the iDA website (http://www.ida.gov.sg) for more details on the New & Used (NEU) PC Plus Programme and the packages available. Eligible applicants of OF must produce the receipts/invoices, upon purchase of PCs, for reimbursement.

  • Singapore Armed Forces-ITE Sponsorship Scheme (SISS)
  • Sponsorship for Nitec in Nursing Programme: Hospitals offer sponsorship awards for school leavers interested in taking up the Nitec in Nursing programme. Upon successful completion of training, you will join the sponsoring hospital for 2 years where you will perform direct nursing care and activities to patients.
