Mohamed Fadhil Bin Mohamed Soffe
Beneath his soft-spoken exterior lies quiet strengtg and determination that speaks volumes. Mohamed Fadhil Bin Mohamed Soffe, a former student of ITE College East, is no stranger to the limelight on stage and the roaring applause of an audience. Throughout his 2 year stint in Higher Nitec in Electrical Engineering, Fadhil received a collection of accolades that included the prestigious Tay Eng Soon Scholarship, ITE Student Commendation Award and the Outstanding Graduate Award.
Contrary to the negative impression of ITE held by his friends and family, ITE gave fadhil a myriad of opportunities to attain a holistic educational experience. With strong support from his lecturers, Fadhil tested his skills and capabilities and overcame many tough challenges. His personal belief that, “It doesn’t matter how many times you fall. What matters most is you get up and try again” has also served him well.
His active participation and involvement in community service and his role as the Vice-President (Events & Activities) of the ITE Student Ambassador Club eventually earned him a Community Volunteerism Award and an ITE CCA Medal. Fadhil also took part in various competitions, and attained a Commendation Award in Sembawang Shipyard’s Corporation Green Wave Environmental Care Competition 2011 and a Silver Medal in the Student Innovation and Quality Circle Competition.
Today, Fadhil is pursuing his Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering at Singapore Polytechnic. He scored a GPA of 3.958 in his first semester and is carrying on with his involvement in community service. Fadhil remains an active member in a leadership clubm now the SP Ambassadors, for the key reason of motivating his peers to excel in everything they do. Passion is what drives him to success. He says, “I love what I’m doing and I love what I will become in the future”.
