Amphitheatre

Located in the heart of the College, the outdoor amphitheatre comes with a circular stage and tiered seating, making it the perfect venue for performances under the stars. The glass roof of this amphitheatre is the centrepiece of the Sky garden, another area for students’ recreation.

Cafeterias

The College currently has two cafeterias. The cafeteria serves a wide variety of food including Chinese, Malay, Indian and Western dishes at reasonable prices. All food and drinks should be consumed within the cafeteria only. Students should help to keep the eateries clean and tidy by returning all trays to the respective collection points of the cafeterias.

Customer & Visitor Centre (CVC)

The CVC is located at Administration Block, Level 1. In addition to general enquiries, specific services are available to students at the counter. Students who are not feeling well may also make use of the sick bay facility located in the CVC premise.

Counter Services
– Letter certifying students’ status
Students may approach the Customer Service Officers to obtain a letter of confirmation to prove that they are currently enrolled in ITE College East.

– Resetting of portal password
Students may request to reset their Student Portal passwords through their Class Advisors or at the CVC counter.

– Collection of certificates
Full-time and part-time students will be informed in their Statement of Results to collect their certificates at the CVC or at the College Graduation Ceremony. If they are not able to collect it during the Graduation Ceremony, they may collect the certificates from CVC as advised by the College. Certificates not collected within 2 years from the date of issue will be destroyed and will not be re-issued.

Students who are unable to collect their certificates personally may authorise another person to collect the certificate on their behalf. The authorised person will need to 1) produce his/her identification card for verification and 2) bring along the authorisation form and Statement of Results from the student.
Students who require a Certified Statement (in replacement of a lost certificate), or a reprint of their Academic Transcripts or Statement of Results can make their requests at CVC.  A non-refundable administration fee of $10 is payable for each type of statement requested. The mode of payment is by NETS/Credit Card(Mastercard/VISA)/EZ-Link card.

– Lost & Found
Students may report lost items or surrender found items at CVC.

– Feedback
Students may feedback about facilities/services directly to the Customer Service Officer, or via a feedback form.

Self Service Terminals
Students may make use of any of the 8 PC Terminals at CVC to log in to their Student Portal. They may also use the Terminals to search for the contacts of their Class Advisors/Lecturers and contact them via the CVC Housephone.

Form Filling Counter & Dropboxes
Students may obtain commonly used forms such as CCA leave application forms etc from the Form Filling Counter. Students may also drop their bursary application forms & supporting documents into the respective dropboxes at CVC.

Sports Equipment
Students may loan selected sports equipment at CVC.

Self Service Photocopying Service
Students may make use of the coin-operated photocopying machine at CVC to photocopy their documents. Black & White photocopying is charged at 20 cents per page.

Eyewear @ CE

Eyewear@CE is an opticianry training centre for ITE students in the Opticianry Course. It provides students with the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills in a real-life environment under supervision of a licensed eyecare practitioner. This outlet is fully equipped to perform a full range of eye examinations which includes:

  • Prescribing of spectacles & contact lenses
  • Eye pressure measurement (tonometry),
  • Ocular photography
  • Digitized measurements of eye parameters

International Hall @ CE

The International Hall is located at Business Block, Level 2. It is the on-campus accommodation available for foreign students (under the Overseas Student Exchange Programme) at ITE College East. This student accommodation facility is managed by the Student Services Department and comprises 10 rooms (quad-sharing) with the following amenities available in each room – split-unit air conditioner, ceiling fans, computer data points, study table, etc. In addition, the pantry/lounge is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave oven, hot and cold water dispenser, television with DVD player and iron and ironing board. Washing machines and dryers are also available in the common washrooms.

Library@East

Library@East is located at Business Block, Level 1. Serving both staff and students, the library has a great collection of print and non-print resources for:

  • Courses at College East
  • Life-skills learning
  • Lifestyle and leisure reading

Every staff and student has an account to loan items from the Library, and can self-access their account via the Library website to use databases like Lynda.com and AccessEngineering, as well as conduct self-service transactions like loan extensions, reservations of titles and booking of project rooms.

Returning loans is easily done by using the 24/7 Book Drop located at the entrance of the Library or at the Library counter.

The Library also has facilities and services such as project rooms, computers, printing services with ez-link card payment and self-check machine for loans. Study on your own or work together with your friends on your group projects in the Library.  The Librarians are happy to help with your information queries, so come talk with us.

Besides that, do look out for the programme and activities organised by the Library to enrich learning such as exhibitions, talks and workshops! Come discover what’s happening in the Library@East!

Multi-Media Learning Resource Centre (MMLC)

The MMLC is located at Business Block, Level 2. The Centre is a self-service learning area equipped with 248 computers where students come to do e-learning and school projects by booking the computers in the centre. There are 2 booking terminals located at the entrance of the MMLC. Booking of the computer is free of charge. Various applications, such as Microsoft MS Words, Excel and PowerPoint are already installed in the computers. In addition, all computers in the MMLC are internet ready to facilitate students to e-learn. Printing services are also available at the MMLC, with a charge of 5 cents per page for mono printing and 50 cents per  page for colour printing. Payment is made with the student EZ-Link card.

Performing Arts Centre (PAC)

The Centre houses two dance studios with full-length mirrors, 2 sound proof orchestra rooms, a rehearsal studio, an art studio and a soundproof jamming studio. Access to the facilities is by booking with the Centre’s office during operating hours.

The Performing Arts Centre is set up to expose students in the appreciation of art forms, be it in dance, music, drama, literature or the fine arts.
Through the Centre’s activities, the students will be exposed to different art forms to stimulate their interests and uncover latent talents. Each year, talented ITE students are scouted from among the Colleges’ Music and Arts clubs and invited to join the Performing Arts Centre. As a performing artiste with the Performing Arts Centre, students will have the opportunity to realise their fullest potential under the guidance of trained professionals.

Genres of performances showcased by the Performing Arts Centre:

  • Music: Pop Band, Jazz Band, Chinese Orchestra, Japanese Drums and Percussion Drums
  • Vocals: Pop, Acapella and Karaoke
  • Dance: Modern Dance, Hip Hop, Break Dance, Chinese Dance, Indian Dance and Malay Dance
  • Drama: Theatre, Technical and Improvisation

Salon@CE

Salon@CE is a training salon for students in Nitec in Hair Services to apply their skills in an authentic environment. A range of hair services from shampoo, haircut to hair colouring are provided by students under the supervision of lecturers during their curriculum hours. Proceeds from services are donated to the ITE CE Needy Students’ Fund. Please book an appointment at http://salonace.setmore.com.

Sports Facilities

We are equipped with a wide range of sports facilities promote a healthy lifestyle. Students are encouraged to utilize the indoor and outdoor facilities, as part of their co-curricular activities, or during their leisurely hours.

Indoor Sports Facilities

  • Multi Purpose Sports Hall (MPSH) (Business Block, Level 3) has 8 badminton courts, a basketball court/floorball court/handball court (shared), a volleyball court and 4 sepak takraw courts
  • Gymnasium (Business Block, Level 4 – within MPSH) is equipped with the latest cardiovascular and strength training equipment and machines
  • Dance Studio (Business Block, Level 5 – within MPSH) is encased with full length mirrors and fitted with a LED TV and DVD player

Outdoor Sports Facilities

  • Sports Stadium with an 8-lane running track and sports field with seating capacity of 823 spectators
  • A 9-lane Olympic-sized Swimming Pool with seating capacity of 270 spectators at the gallery
  • The Multi-Purpose Court has 3 basketball courts, 2 sepak takraw courts, 2 volleyball courts and a netball court
  • 2 Street Soccer Courts
  • 2 Tennis Courts
  • An Adventure Park comprising a high adventure ropes course, a low ropes course, a high wall and a flying fox equipment
  • A Fitness Park which has 10 comprehensive fitness stations
  • A 10m x 9m Rock Climbing Wall for beginner, intermediate and advanced climbers
  • Bouldering Wall located along Level 1 of Business Block is open to all from 8.00am till 10.00pm

Student Activity Centre (SAC)

The SAC is located at Business Block, Level 2. The Centre houses special rooms for clubs and interest groups. It is a place where students with similar hobbies and interests can gather and socialise. This facility also houses the Student Council Office.

Learning Accessibility Office

Learning Accessibility Office is set up to support students with Special Education Needs (SEN) in their learning process so that students with SEN can have a holistic education, and attain independent living and work skills to gain meaningful employment upon graduation. The Learning Accessibility Office is located within the Student Care Centre at Administration Block, Level 2, and provides the following services needed for their learning, such as:
• Course counselling
• Transition support
• Advice on Assistive Technology devices
• Access to facilities
• Behavioural support
• Provision of appropriate access arrangements during tests and examinations
• Industrial attachment
• Career counselling

Disclosure of Information: Students with SEN are encouraged to contact the College LAO upon enrolling for an ITE course so that we are able to advise you on the types of support available. Knowing your requirements on learning accessibility allows us to put the appropriate support in place when you start your course. Your personal information will not be disclosed for other purposes without your / your parents’ consent, except where there is a legal obligation to do so, or where exceptional issues of personal safety arise. Non-disclosure of relevant information may hamper the provision of services as we may not be aware of your needs. If you are already studying at ITE and have not disclosed your special learning requirements, we would encourage you to do so immediately.
